MAESTRO
Interactive-Generative Mapping, Sharjah Light Festival, UAE 2017
MAESTRO is an interactive video mapping installation controlled by the user through a futuristic illuminated console. The installation took place on a building spanning one half kilometer and needed 19 projectors of 20.000 lumens each. The users were invited to choose among different modes, allowing them to play with fluids and textures, shapes and colours, and different Arabic patterns. The console also allowed visitors to play music.
Different behaviours were created for each mode, including generative audio, a musical instrument for painting, and a music sampler with different DJ effects. All done with Max/MSP and Max for Live.
